Oceanliners, The
Formed in Perrine, FL in the mid 1960's. The members were from both southwest and northwest Miami-Dade County. The southwest members included Cecil Brown (founder), Ronald Hall, Garrett Hall, John Thomas, Joseph Stevens and others. The northwest members included Ron Smith, Jerome Smith, Robert Johnson and others. When the original group split, the northwest members kept the name, joined with Harry Casey, Rick Finch and others in the northwest, and later changed their name to KC & The Sunshine Band.
